See what Universal Credit you could get — and why
A calculator that shows its working. Answer a few questions about your household and get an estimate broken down line by line, with every rate and every assumption stated.
Universal Credit estimates for England, Scotland and Wales, on iPhone and iPad. Coming soon to the App Store.
How it works
- Only what applies to you. The questions change as you answer, so you are never asked about a situation that isn’t yours.
- An estimate you can check. Every figure traces back to a published rate and the rule behind it, so you can verify it on GOV.UK yourself.
- Saved on your device. Keep an estimate and come back to it when your circumstances change.
What it is, and what it isn’t
It gives estimates, not benefit decisions and not professional advice. The government department responsible for Universal Credit where you live decides your actual entitlement, and it can differ from any estimate.
For guidance about your own situation, check GOV.UK or speak to a benefits adviser — Citizens Advice, for example.
